What servers do you have characters on?

I run the Horde guild for Quarter to Three (of which I'm sure you're familiar) on Arathor. Great bunch of people, not really big, totally casual and helpful of each other.

I was thinking about starting up an Alliance character somewhere, but I'm not sure what server. Maybe I'll join Can't Quit You, the 1up guys' guild.

It sounds like you're doing pretty much what I was doing when I first started playing. I wanted to explore as much of the world as I could at first, making lots of alts and ending up in a couple different guilds on different servers. (I liked my first guild, but what was a gay-oriented guild like on WoW? Should I join the guild a lot of my career-peers are in? Hey, these guys with the D&D-themed public access show are funny, and they're trying to start a group, I should join. Etc., etc....) The problem was that I didn't have enough time to play everywhere I ended up, so I was left with a lot of unplayed alts that got booted from guilds due to inactivity.

I'm sure someone else has thought of this, but it'd be nice if there was some sort of social networking tool that let people know what servers their friends are on so that your friends all end up on the server you pick, and not vice versa. One can dream. :)

Rupture.com is doing social networking around MMOs, but it's focused on the character, within the game, not on the human playing the game. Since they're eventually going to support more games than just WoW, I hope they have something more "meta" in mind.

Wow. How on earth do you find the time to do what you do AND play 12 characters in WoW? Amazing. I'm sitting in a panel on writing, and you're asking a question...how webcentric is this? Bizarre.

Anyhow, really enjoyed the Women in Gaming panel and hearing from you. Would love to interview you by email or phone for Joystiq!
