While OnLive was a bit ahead of it's time and doesn't really fit into the current internet infrastructure (terrrrrrible mouse lag, disgusting for action games) it had one feature which made it stand out from the rest: A 30 minute demo of every game. Because of the delivery system, they could easily let players try out any game for a limited time.

This 30 minute trial was of the full title, no special demo level. You could play as many 30-minute trials as you wanted, but all progression was wiped between trials, so it wasn't possible to play through the entire game this way.

It could be problematic for games with long intros and tutorials, but in general, I think they had the right idea.
