Forget A Hotdog or Pretzel Stand, Give Me Crepes!
My new food specialty/craving is crepes. That's right, I'm playing at being a French chef, well sort of. More like a glamorous pancake maker. Crepes are my new fav thing to whip up in the kitchen. All you need is some all purpose flour, 2 eggs, water, a pinch of salt, and a splash of crème if you have it on hand, some melted butter & I bought my own little crepe pan! My love of crepes goes way back when I was 17 and my first boyfriend took my for a "fancy" dinner at a chain restaurant that specialized in Crepes. I think it was called The Pan or something too that effect. He explained that I could eat a dinner crepe or a dessert crepe. I think we had both that night. ~~bon appétit Posted by Liz at October 02, 2002 03:37 PM | TrackBackComments
i also love crepes. my mom used to make them for us when we were little, and i remember sunday mornings my sister and i would sit on stools by the stove while my mom worked, holding our plates in our hands so that we could fight over who would get the next delicious paper-thin crepe flavored with just a lick of butter right off the pan. at Berkeley, two of my favorite places to eat featured crepes - Crepes A Go-go, on University Avenue, where i would often get the spinach, cheese, and egg crepe - a great light lunch; also on Shattuck, Crepes Mediterranees, where i'd get the spicy, stuffed Bombay crepe with curry sauce. mmmm.... Liz, you make me want to try making crepes in Japan, too! Posted by: jane on October 2, 2002 06:21 PMI love crepes also. I use to live in France and would make sure to hit a creperie at least once a week. My favorite crepes are the sweet ones with melted dark chocolate and toasted almonds. Yum! I also love the apple cidar (with alcohol of course) that are served in the creperies. On that note I think I am making myself hungry.... Posted by: anne on October 3, 2002 07:11 PMCrepes and jelly Posted by: Erica on July 28, 2003 03:23 PMhell yeah, crepes rule! i wnt to France recently, and i ate crepes on two occasions, and i loved them both. it seems that it's hard to screw up a crepe. for once, a sensible article on this website. instead of blabbering about games and stuff, you could just praise the greatness of crepes. Posted by: Azrael on July 29, 2003 09:43 AMyou're absolutely right, Azrael. what was i thinking? from now on game girl advance will cover only food. forget this interactivity stuff! it's over! food is the future! i do hope actually that it's in my very near future. i'm starving. Posted by: jane on July 29, 2003 02:35 PMah! finally someone sees the light! all hail crepes! \o/ \o/ \o/ now seriously. the article on Voice Chat on games. the article on sex in games. what the hell is wrong with you people? if you proved a point, i wouldn't be posting this, problem is, you don't make a point, or if you do, it's a dumb one. oh well... crepes rule. but i'm tempted to say that waffles are better. Posted by: Azrael on July 30, 2003 10:25 AMMy I like very much the crepes, my mother is in the habit of doing them the winter evenings, crepes with honey mmm Posted by: Alize on January 18, 2004 09:31 AM http://anmichelle.xratedcities.com/index1452.html nice weblog@ Posted by: adam on March 19, 2004 09:26 AMnice weblog@ Posted by: adam on March 19, 2004 09:29 AMPost a comment
