A survey of Game Journalism Online
I'm working on a survey of game journalism online for the Online Journalism Review. Where do you get your news and *views? Posted by justin at March 26, 2003 09:55 AM | TrackBackComments
ign.com. They haven't let me down yet... Posted by: Jimnice on March 26, 2003 01:20 PMHeads up: Reviews: Design / Implementation: Industry: Commentary: waka Pretty much either Penny Arcade and here. And then all the rumormilling that I hear around the office daily. Posted by: Bowler on March 26, 2003 04:14 PMReviews: Other important sites I check regularly include Gamasutra, Fatbabies, Waterthread, Game Girl Advance, Gamesindustry.biz. Occasionally I read other sites like massivemultiplayer.org, depending on time available. Penny Arcade and PvP are important. I also read official forums for certain games that interest me a lot--right now, Star Wars: Galaxies, Shadowbane, a few others. Posted by: Timothy Burke on March 26, 2003 07:08 PMI forgot Game Studies, which is especially dumb since I do peer review for them. Stop the presses! A major newcomer: Andrew Phelps' Got Game at Corante, http://www.corante.com/gotgame/ Reviews, gamerankings.com is the best portal, which usually leads me to ign.com Also, gamers.com has started posting semi-reviews from XBoxNation which has the best print reviews that are in the horrid console magazine world. I've just started exploring gamasutra.com and this web site far more for development information...I've become hungry for the sort of analysis your site centers on.
