You're in Control! or, Play with your Pee
The geniuses at MIT Media Labs (and I'm not being sarcastic) have come up with an expensive but sanitary way to play at the urinal. The stream is read by sensors and used as the interface for an onscreen game mounted above the urinal. "You're in Control encourages cleanliness while reintroducing play to the act of micturition," says the paper (available in PDF). For the future? "We envision a variety of additional software applications. For example, users could play a game in which they uncovered a hidden image with their urine." Oh, fun! Pee off the sand and find the treasure! "Another possibility is a co-operative networked game -" Never mind, I think I'll stop reading that now. My favorite: "Users could even browse through news stories, advertisements, and stock quotes as they voided their bladders, in a new form of bathroom multitasking." Sounds great. When's the female version available? Posted by jane at May 21, 2003 11:36 AM | TrackBackComments

Posted by: dzeroo on May 22, 2003 06:40 AMJust in case anyone's interested, I mirrored the video and some of the stills on my site, being that the guy who created this is a friend of mine, I take pride in knowing he's helping mankind. It brings a tear to my eye. You can check out some of the other stuff he's doing at Monzy.com Posted by: Kones on May 22, 2003 08:15 PMSome girls can play without the adapter! They just need special training. Posted by: E on May 30, 2003 10:29 PMI think they only need four arrows, then you can play Wazz Wazz Revolution. Posted by: Introducer of good local slang on June 4, 2003 05:50 PMit would be fun at first but it might encourage a trend of making everything into game. cheap tacky fun then boring. like the bombardment of advertising recently on garbage cans and even hotdog stands blah. 2 Player Pee Battle!
