I've had worse comment-wise here... Around 20 minutes for the window to complete, and until the next day to actually display. The comment system here is well beyond broken, as I can't figure out how it can be that bad short of being actually programmed that way to discourage posting.

As for the Xbox, no big surprise. Microsoft is trying everything they can. They might as well give the system away, and that might not even be enough to sell more games in Japan.

I find it amusing that some people are made uncomfortable by this. The game-playing demographic is no longer composed primarily of children (and I think this is true especially outside the U.S.).

Now, my question would be: does this woman actually play games (a la Asia Carrera, who should have her own show on G4/Tech TV), or is she just empty-suit eye-candy?

I never liked Microsoft Japan from the time I talked to a few of their employees (arrogant) - but from the blow-up dolls to adult-video star show host....I find the not-so-quite-subtle hint of how MS perceives the Japanese gamer demographic rather insulting. We are not ALL pervs, you know ^_-
