How Fucking Embarrassing.
Except that Sony lost its sense its sense of shame so very long ago. It amazes me that someone thought an obnoxiously "hip hop" fake fan site was a good idea. If you had any sense at all you'd just take down that blight on the internet right now. This makes me embarrassed to be a gamer. I mean, *that* is what you think is going to work on us? It doesn't. I wonder how much the marketing company was paid for this? Posted by jane at December 13, 2006 01:54 PM | TrackBackComments
Good news: the site's busted. They posted a message, thusly: Busted. Nailed. Snagged. As many of you have figured out (maybe our speech was a little too funky fresh???), Peter isn't a real hip-hop maven and this site was actually developed by Sony. Guess we were trying to be just a little too clever. From this point forward, we will just stick to making cool products, and use this site to give you nothing but the facts on the PSP. Too late, SCEA. Your phony site belies your phony nature and your obviously condescending nature towards the people who buy your products. Gamers are smart and can often detect bullshit very quickly. You should have *known* that an obvious stunt like this would be found out very quickly. See if I buy a PSP now, suckers. I'm feeling better and better about my DS every day. At least Nintendo isn't treating me like a whore or a stupid kid. Posted by: Robert D. on December 13, 2006 06:37 PM
it's really sad to see Sony reach such a low. This whole year was a mess for them. I didn't even bother watching the entire video because I figured out how lame it was (going to be) in the first 30 secs. Posted by: darkchild82 on December 14, 2006 03:03 AM
Sony is so stuck in the 80s in terms of marketing and overall corporate direction. The PS3 is the culmination of their ass-up-their-heads style of development and their hip hop phenom is yet another indication how out of touch Sony is. Posted by: Tommy @ dodoskido.com on December 15, 2006 06:20 AM
This thing was such pandering, god knows what they were thinking. Sheesh, well who knows what they are going to do next, hopefully its not as lame as this. on March 7, 2007 10:54 AM
