Yes, I played the demo. It rocks! We also had Ken Levine giving a postmortem at our IGDA chapter meeting. I posted some notes from the meeting here.

Between Rock Band and BioShock, we might have TWO mega-hit games come out of Boston this Fall. I don't think anything could make me happier!!

I played a bit of the demo. It was technically amazing, but not my cup of tea. Very violent, lots of gore, lots of killing of sentient creatures. Lots of jabbing my arm with needles *shudder*

My rule of thumb is if I feel like I'm interrupting an innocent conversation in order to kill a mob, I move on. In the case of the Bioshock demo, it was a couple in the midst of a rather comic domestic dispute. Granted they attacked me first, but I still don't enjoy that kind of killing.

I do, however, think I'm the only gamer out here that feels that way. I'm sure Bioshock will be a huge hit.
