Creatures of the Blue Lagoon
Wow - I'm really excited - while I'm in Iceland I get to go to the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa! That sounds amazing. Check out the photos. Friend says it's pretty brutal, though - you have to walk across unsheltered cold cold cold before you hit the hot water. And given that it's in the low 30's in Rekjavik right now that is going to be a death march for my spoiled california skin. Posted by jane at October 29, 2007 11:02 PMComments
sounds amazing jane i've kinda did the flip side to that, i went to a sauna in norway and after about 10 mins you have to leave and cool off by jumping into the ice cold frozen lake/river (can't remember which it was) painful for an instance but felt amazing after it. here's a pic of one from iceland, it's the Selandjafoss plunge pool WOW Iceland, home of Bjork- so cool.
